in the Area of Computational Science and Engineering:

THE DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AND APPLIED MECHANICS at the UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA invites applicants for a tenure-track position in the area of computational science and engineering with interests in complex mechanical systems including nanotechnology and biotechnology. Candidates at the assistant, associate, and full professor level will be considered. Applicants must have a doctoral degree, exceptional promise for or proven record of research achievement, and commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. The successful candidate is expected to initiate and participate in high quality, externally-funded research programs. The Department maintains strong collaborations with other engineering departments, the Medical School, the School of Arts and Sciences, and the Wharton School.
