Open Faculty Position
 

THE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND APPLIED SCIENCE at the UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position at the rank of Professor of Practice in the DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AND APPLIED MECHANICS. Candidates must have achieved a high level of distinction consistent with the rank of Full Professor in academia, industry or government, and must have had a major impact in the field of energy. They must be committed to developing innovative interdisciplinary educational energy courses and curricula in energy. The successful candidate is expected to serve as a liaison between the School of Engineering and Applied Science and industrial and government organizations in identifying and developing synergetic educational, research and training programs in this field.

Applicants must have a doctoral degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.

The Department maintains strong collaborations with other engineering departments, the School of Arts and Sciences, the Medical School, and the Wharton School.  Information about the Department is available at http://www.me.upenn.edu.
