Open Faculty Position
THE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND APPLIED SCIENCE at the UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA
invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position at the rank of Professor of Practice in the DEPARTMENT
OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AND APPLIED MECHANICS. Candidates must have achieved a high level of
distinction consistent with the rank of Full Professor in academia, industry or government, and must have had a major impact
in the field of energy. They must be committed to developing innovative interdisciplinary educational energy courses and
curricula in energy. The successful candidate is expected to serve as a liaison between the School of Engineering and Applied Science
and industrial and government organizations in identifying and developing synergetic educational, research and training programs in this field.
Applicants must have a doctoral degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
